Better Days

I’ve been editing the first 3 chapters of True Path, which I’ll be sending to my fabulous CP and Ricia. Ricia contacted the editors who have Storm of Magick. They replied by saying that they should get to it in February. This made me want to scream.

I hope the feeling sorry for myself will stay away. But who knows? I’ve been having a hard time sleeping because I have ideas floating around my head that seem to come to front as soon as I put my head on my pillow.

I watched the Dresden File on Sunday. I liked the series and look forward to seeing what the season holds for Harry. Battlestar, which I didn’t like at first, followed DF. I also have read ‘Hell’s Bells’ by Jackie Kessler. I recommend its a great read.

so glad to see you up and at 'em :)
I too have been having some down time... all these posts about how hard it is to get published traditionally has just rained on my parade as they say.

Here's to sunnier days!

Good to see you feeling better. I'm with you all the way on the waiting-to-hear-from-publishers thing. It's hard on the nerves. But it'll all be worth it in the end, and February isn't that far away now.

*hugs*

Sorry I didn't see the reply postie... my fav genre to write in is mystery. Of the zany, tickle-your-funny-bone sort. I have a fair share of twisty stuff, but my last novel and this WIP is based on my character Shannon Wallace and her escapades.

Ugh -- the waiting sucks, doesn't it, LA? I'm waiting on a submission, too, and knowing that "no news is good news" doesn't help. Good luck as you wait to hear from the other houses. And good for you for pushing onward on your WIP. Keeping productive helps.

And I know what you mean about the Damned Ideas. I'm exhausted right now, but I HAVE TO do more writing, just to shut the voices up. Sigh. No one ever told me that writing would add to my insanity.

I liked THE DRESDEN FILES, and I'm also looking forward to seeing where they go with the series. And I'm SUCH a BSG fangirl. Love the series.

Thanks for reading HELL'S BELLES! Thrilled you enjoyed it. :)

Hey Miss. Are Ricia's guidelines still the same as what's on her webpage? They are awfully out of date so I'd hate to bug her/irritate her.

the hardest thing to do is just to let that work go out there and do its thing and work on something else. But it's good to have back up plans. :) Good luck!

Hey Michelle, yes Ricia's guidelines are still the same. She's getting to her query's as soon as she can.
