Blogs and more...
Sorry that I’ve been away, but I’ve been hard at work on ‘The Sandman’. It’s a short story and of course a horror. My daughter is on vacation this week so we’ve been busy having fun together. I just start working on my magical garden. It has fairies, gazing ball (purple) but I can’t start planting my herbs until the end of May.
One thing I wanted to touch on, is after you become publish, is it more important to keep your blog? Would printing your blog address in your book give your readers a chance to comment on your book and to get in touch with you. Any thought on the subject?

I like interacting with people especially over my writing and characters. I also read several author's blogs. I will keep my blog up.
I'm the same as Jamie - I've picked up several authors because I've read their blogs and been intrigued. I always like to know a bit of behind-the-scenes stuff when it comes to writers I admire.
I think it's important to have some kind of web presence, but whether that's a blog or a website with info and a guestbook (but not everyday rants) or something else entirely... I'm not sure what's best.
I have heard people say, though, that once you are published you do have to be a little more careful what you say. You are, at that time, a public person instead of a private person, and things you put on a public blog will reflect back on your writing, like it or not.
If - when! - I get published, I will keep my blog. (Presuming I'm still using it at that time.) Whether or not I will link that blog to my books or not, though, is debatable. I may start up a new blog for book-related things, and keep my current one for my writing friends and personal life.
Hope some of that makes sense...
When I'm published I will add a little more about me and my motivation. I will also add posts that I think my help other unpublished authors.
When my new website is finished I will link it to my blog and visa versa.
